The Office Depot redevelopment project is on track for completion in December. Masonry work on the new building is finished and roof work has started.

 

Scott Robinson of Hampton Partners, developer of the Office Depot project and the recent Argonaut Liquors transformation, confirmed that construction is running smoothly. Colfax Corridor Connections is a project that will study and assess mobility and transit needs within the East Colfax travel corridor. The goal of the project is to identify improvements to overall mobility within the corridor now and over the next 25 years. Denver developer Jimmy Balafas said he expects to be in a "neck-and-neck race" with Boulder to be the first to open a Trader Joe's.

The Monrovia, Calif.-based specialty grocer confirmed Wednesday it will open a second Colorado location — in Denver in 2013. As expected, that 14,000-square-foot store will be located at the southeast corner of East Eighth Avenue and Colorado Boulevard.
