Newly appointed Denver Police Chief Robert White is rolling out a new plan to address the call for more manpower on the streets of Denver. The current statistics of where we find Denver Police manpower are telling: 52% are behind desks and 48% are on the street. Assigning more police to street duty and cutting out middle management are key future goals.

Tom's Diner by Upper Colfax Sunday, February 5th, 2012

 

For Tom Messina, of Tom's Diner, the building was love at first sight. Messina grew up in Long Island, where there was a cafe on every street corner. He came out to Colorado Springs in 1995, and in a 1999 trip to Denver, Messina fell in love with the diner's California Googie design.
